It’s been 36 hours. And still no answer.
As of Thursday morning, Middlesex OPP had still not learned the identity of a woman killed while cycling northwest of London Tuesday night.
Const. Max Gomez told The Free Press that the public would be updated when new information is available.
The unidentified woman was cycling south on Bear Creek Road near Sinclair Drive – just northwest of London – when she was struck by a car going in the same direction at about 5 p.m. The car’s driver, 20, was unhurt, police say.
Police canvassed the area but have been unable to find anyone who knew the woman, who had no identification with her. They’re encouraging cyclists to always carry a form of photo ID while out riding.
Police describe the woman as white, 50 to 60 years old, 5-foot-1, 95 pounds, with grey and blonde hair. She rode a dark blue and black Norco Bush Pilot bicycle equipped with a water bottle holder.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
