Police say that Highway 401 will be closed in both directions near Chatham-Kent after a tractor trailer lost control and caught fire on the expressway.
A tractor trailer travelling westbound lost control and bounced off the outside cement barrier of the highway into the centre barrier. The barrier was pushed into the eastbound lanes and the tractor trailer erupted in flames.
Around 5:45 p.m. the Chatham-Kent OPP responded to the collision near Communication Road. Police say no one was hurt. Emergency crews are removing the vehicle. Police are investigating the crash.
