A London woman who plastered her Byron property with signs shaming a contractor has been charged with arson following a fire at her house.
Police announced Friday Allison Stacey, 57, is charged with arson endangering the property to others in the early-morning Tuesday fire at her Boler Road home.
The fire started in the basement about 6:30 a.m. and spread to the main floor of the single-storey house, said a fire inspector.
Damage is estimated at $200,000.
Stacey arrived on the scene almost three hours after firefighters doused the blaze, telling the Free Press she was out for a long walk with her dog.
