An awkward crash at south London gas station sent two people to hospital Wednesday

Two people were taken to hospital after an SUV crashes into a tree at a south London gas station Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to the call shortly after 1 p.m. at the Petro-Canada on Wellington and Exeter roads.

Two occupants of the white SUV, which ended up wedged on a tree, were taken to the hospital for observation, firefighters said.

The gas station remained open while firefighters secured the scene.
