Australia is removing the British monarchy from its banknotes.
The new five-dollar note will feature an indigenous design rather than an image of King Charles.
It raises concerns about the future of King Charles’s role across a number of Commonwealth countries with Australia’s foreign minister apparently advising the UK to confront its colonial past.
