Bakery deaths fail to stop Paris protests

Three people have been killed in Paris after a huge explosion ripped through a bakery.

It happened with the city already on high alert, with thousands of riot police deployed for a ninth consecutive weekend of “yellow vest” protests.

The explosion happened on the Rue de Trevise just north of the city centre.
