The man suspected of driving a van into pedestrians in the Barcelona terror attack has been arrested, according to Spanish media.

Police have been hunting for Younes Abouyaaqoub, who is suspected of driving the car, since the deadly attack on Thursday.

Spanish outlet La Vanguardia reported he was arrested in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, a district just west of Barcelona.

It has also been reported that a man wearing a suicide belt has been shot down in nearby Subirats.

Catalan police wrote on Twitter that there is an “open incident” in Subirats, but did not confirm whether the two incidents are related.
