Anthony Scaramucci has been removed from his role as White House communications chief by Donald Trump after just ten days, according to US media reports.

It came after a request from the president’s new chief of staff, John Kelly, the New York Times reported.

White House insiders told the paper that Mr Kelly had “made clear to members of the White House staff at a meeting Monday morning that he is in charge”.

It is not clear whether he will remain part of the administration.
