South Sudan is the world’s youngest nation, and has one of the highest numbers of child soldiers in the world.
Many of these children were ordered to commit atrocities during a brutal civil war, including rape and killing.
According to the UN, an estimated 19,000 children are still being held by militia groups. This is despite a peace deal having been signed in 2018.
Sky News’ special correspondent Alex Crawford and her team went to speak to some of the former child soldiers.
