A man wearing a skeleton hoodie and carrying a knife robbed a Sarnia pharmacy Tuesday, leaving with cash and several boxes of the drug fentanyl, says Sarnia police.

Police say a man armed with a large knife entered the Northgate Pharmacy on Exmouth Street and demanded fentanyl and cash.

Several hundred dollars, mostly 50s and 20s, was taken from the cash register, along with 15 to 20 boxes of TEVA- and Sardoza-brand fentanyl, police said.

The man is described as having a thin build and was wearing a hooded jacket with a skeleton image, as well as dark pants and blue shoes.

Police said the man left the store and fled in the direction of Capel Street in a smaller dark pickup that was later found in the 900 block of Colborne Road.

Anyone with information about the incident is being asked to contact Sarnia police at 519-344-8861, ext. 6191, or ext. 6221.
