Holloway crash: Cyclist killed in crash with van in Camden Road

A cyclist has been killed after a crash with a van in north London.

Police were called to the junction of Camden Road and Middleton Grove, in Camden early on Tuesday morning.

A Met Police spokeswoman confirmed the cyclist, thought to be a man in his 30s, died in the crash.

A female driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The Met spokeswoman said: “Police in Camden were called to the junction at Camden Road at 6.01am following a collision of a cyclist and Ford Transit.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a male cyclist believed to be in his 30s suffering from critical injuries.

“He was announced dead at the scene shortly after. A female driver stopped at the scene and has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

“She was taken to a north London police station for questioning. Road closures are in place.”
