A multi-vehicle pileup on westbound Highway 402 in Sarnia snarled traffic for more than five hours Sunday, the latest in a string of tractor trailer collisions on that busy stretch of road.

Lambton OPP and emergency crews arrived at the scene east of Indian Road at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Despite major damage to the tractor trailers, only minor injuries were reported. The 402 was reopened just before 11 p.m.

Sunday’s transport truck crash comes after two others last month in the same area.

One truck driver was charged after a three-truck pile-up July 25 that sent two to hospital with minor injuries. Just days earlier on July 19, a crash on the westbound 402 in Sarnia killed 61-year-old truck driver Dannie Faulk from Ozark, Alabama.
