The Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother star Jessica Cunningham has been left devastated by the death of her ex-boyfriend and father of her children.

The 30-year-old reality star has three girls with Alistair Eccles, 35, who died in hospital after officers were called to a home in Burnley on Friday.

His death is not being treated as suspicious, police said.

A spokesman for Ms Cunningham said: “Despite their break up, Alistair was a really good father to their children.

“Jessica is politely asking for some privacy at this devastating time so that she can protect their three girls.”

The couple jointly ran Ms Cunningham’s first fashion business Famous Frocks, before the reality TV star ended their relationship. Famous Frocks went out of business in 2015.

Mr Eccles had been found guilty of being part of a crime scam in 2013 and served a 15-month suspended sentence.

The scam reportedly saw victims conned out of almost £750,000.

A Lancashire Police spokeswoman said: “We were called shortly before 3am on August 11 following a report that a 35 year old man had been taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital from an address on Underley Street, Burnley.

“He was sadly pronounced deceased at hospital.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to the coroner.”
