Imagine this officer’s surprise.

A Middlesex OPP officer spotted a Hyundai speeding at 171 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on Highway 401 about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

As if that wasn’t fast enough, a black Camaro changed lanes and passed the speeding Hyundai.

The officer was able to stop both vehicles.

A 34-year-old man from Barrie and an 18-year-old man from North York have each been charged with racing a motor vehicle.

Both vehicles were seized for seven days, and the drivers’ licences suspended for seven days.
