Two more London-Western track and field stars will be coming home with gold medals from the Francophone Games in the Ivory Coast.

Triple jumper Caroline Ehrhardt set a personal best of 13.83 metres in winning her event. It was the second longest recorded by a Canadian but because it was wind-aided by 0.8 over the limit, it won’t be registered. Her personal best was 13.59.

Taylor Stewart, who is Ehrhardt’s fiancé, won the decathlon with 7,852 points.

On Day 1 of the competition, Stewart won the 100 metres, long jump, shot put and high jump and finished fourth in the 400m. On Day 2 he won the 110m hurdles, finished second in discus and pole vault, fourth in javelin and sixth in the 1,500m.
