Sun-seeking travellers flying out of the London’s airport have a new vacation option.

Sunwing is introducing flights from the London International Airport to Cayo Coco, Cuba, beginning this winter.

The new flight service, which will run from Dec. 20 to March 28, 2018, was announced Monday.

“We’re excited to be adding Cayo Coco to our growing list of sun destinations available from London,” Sunwing president of tour operations Andrew Dawson said.

“Cuba has always been a favourite choice amongst Canadians for winter escapes, so we look forward to providing London residents greater accessibility in reaching their ideal beach getaway this coming winter.”

Known for its white-sand beaches and coral reefs, Cayo Coco is a tropical island in the Jardines del Rey chain, off central Cuba, that’s dotted with all-inclusive resorts.

Sunwing already offers seasonal flights from London to Varadero, Cuba, and Montego Bay, Jamaica.
