A 17-year-old has been charged in the shooting at a house in June in northeast London.

A resident in the Cedarhollow Boulevard area, which is east of Highbury Avenue and south of Fanshawe Park Road East, contacted London police about 1 a.m. June 17 after hearing something that sounded like gunshots.

Police found a residence damaged by several gunshots. People were inside the residence but no one was hurt.

The investigation revealed that the residence was targeted, police said.

The 17-year-old accused, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with mischief endangering life, discharging a firearm into a place, careless use of a firearm and possession of a firearm and ammunition while prohibited.

The youth has been in custody since July on other matters, police said Friday.
