A crash involving a city bus has knocked out power to a London neighbourhood Monday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of Adelaide Street South and Nelson Street at 6:30 a.m., police said. That’s located near the city’s Soho neighbourhood.

Nobody was injured in the crash, Const. Jacquie Wilson said, adding there was only one passenger on the bus at the time.

Motorists have been asked to avoid the area while London Hydro crews are on the scene.

Police have rerouted traffic on Adelaide Street South between Ada and Nelson streets.

Up to 500 homes in the area have lost power, according to London Hydro. Power to the area is expected to be restored by 1 p.m.
