A 23-year-old Etobicoke man is charged with impaired driving after a vehicle crashed into a tree Saturday at Pinery Provincial Park.

The park warden told OPP when they arrived at about 8 p.m. that a man who had crashed his vehicle into a tree was under arrest for impaired driving.

The vehicle was damaged but the driver wasn’t injured, Lambton OPP said.

OPP continued with the arrest and took the man to force’s Grand Bend detachment, where breath tests showed he had nearly twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

The Etobicoke man is scheduled to appear July 24 in Sarnia court.

The OPP reminds drivers that any amount of alcohol or other drugs can impair a person’s ability to drive.
