A woman in the US captured on camera the moment she confronted her neighbour for flying a Nazi flag outside his home.

Page Blaswell noticed the flag bearing the Nazi symbol of a swastika as she drove past a neighbour’s house in North Carolina.

She said she decided to get out and confront the man after recognising him and realising that he was a “decent guy” she had spoken to “many times”.

In the footage, she is heard asking: “Why do you have a Nazi flag up?”

He said “what’s it to you?” to which Ms Blaswell responded: “Because this is America not Nazi Germany”.

The man then told her to “get you’re a** in your car and get the hell out of here” before asking her what flags she flies.

Ms Blaswell told him she has a rainbow flag, which shows “that I’m not a Nazi”.

He then retorts: “I’m not a Nazi either. This is Nazi f****** America. If you don’t get the hell out of here, me and you gonna have trouble. I promise you that.”

Nazi: The flag was flying outside his home

Speaking to the BBC, Ms Blaswell said she confronted her neighbour because she did not want to “tip-toe” around the subject of far-right extremism.

“I don’t know why I was shocked I mean Nazis look like everyone else I guess we live beside them we work with them they are in our family,” she said.

“If you can’t even talk to your neighbour, I mean that’s crazy. We need to be able to talk to people in our community.

“We don’t need to tip-toe around them, then need to tip-toe around us.”

The issue of heightened racial tensions in the US has been boiling after a woman was killed at an anti-racism protest over the weekend.

Heather Heyer, 32, was mowed down when a suspected neo-Nazi campaigner drove into a group of anti-racism protesters in Charlottesville.

Referring to the event, Ms Blaswell added: “It’s not really my business… but it is all of our business. I mean they killed a woman and attempted to kill 19 other people last weekend, it should be our business.”
