No foul play suspected after man killed by VIA Rail train north of St. Marys

Perth County OPP are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a VIA Rail train north of St. Marys just before 9 p.m. Saturday.

Police, paramedics and firefighters arrived at the train tracks near Perth Line 14 and Perth Road 125 at about 8:42 p.m. and discovered a man had been hit by a southbound train.

Police are still investigating but say the death is not suspicious and foul play is not suspected. The man’s identity has not been released.
