The Argentinian striker’s body was laid out inside the gymnasium where he first learned to play football.

The footballer’s cousin, Martin Gatti, told reporters: “”He was always humble, he didn’t play up to the cameras and the media, he was very down to earth.”

His body was recovered from the English Channel in 2018, but without pilot David Ibbotson.

His number has been retired by his former club Nantes.
