At least 2,000 passengers have been evacuated from Paddington station following a fire alarm.
Firefighters are on the scene investigating a “smell of electrical burning” at the station.
Commuters have been asked to leave the building and one reported that they were facing a 45 minute wait as the fire alert is investigated.
The station remains closed as officers look into the cause of the burning smell, believed to be a possible electrical fire located under platform 10.
London Fire Brigade tweeted: “Firefighters investigating slight smell of electrical burning at #Paddington Station.
“2,000 people evacuated before we arrived.”
