Cheerleading coach Ozell Williams is aso seen pushing down on her in the 24-second video, KUSA reported.

Videos of a further seven cheerleaders pushed into splits were also sent into the news channel.

Denver Police are now investigating the incident which occurred in June at East High School in Denver, United States, during the first week of a cheer camp.

five employees, including Williams, have been placed on administrative leave

Ally told KUSA: “It was tearing my ligament and my muscle at the same time.

“He was pushing down on the back of my right leg. He was pushing like with his other knee on my back to try to keep my posture straight.”

Her mother, Kirsten Wakefield, sent an email to the assistant principal with a video attached, demanding to know what was going to be done about the incident.

Tom Boasberg, Denver Public Schools Superintendent said: “With regards to certain videos, I cannot state strongly enough as the superintendent of the school district and as the father of two high school aged daughters that the images and actions depicted are extremely distressing and absolutely contrary to our core values as a public school community.”

Denver Police added: “On August 23, 2017, the Denver Police Department received anonymous information regarding the incidents involving a cheerleader coach at East High School, and Denver Police child abuse detectives immediately began an investigation.”
