Police say two people were injured, one critically, in a Hwy. 401 motorcycle crash east of London

Two people have been taken to the hospital because of a motorcycle crash on Highway 401 between Dorchester Road and Elgin Road, according to Middlesex OPP.

Police say there were two people on the motorcycle.

Police say the passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the driver was not at fault in the crash and the vehicle suffered a failure which resulted in the crash hurting both people. Police say that no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Technical collision investigators are on scene.

Highway 401 going eastbound has been closed between Dorchester Road and Elgin Road and police say it may remain that way until 2 p.m.
