A 52-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash in south London Sunday.

The man struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle near Wilkins and Upper Queens Streets around 7:50 p.m. and was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police say. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

It’s the fourth motorcyclist to die in the city this year. Two motorcyclist deaths came just a day apart in early July.

Eric Dye, 26, of Dorchester died in a single-vehicle crash on Elgin Road, north of Hamilton Road, in Dorchester on Canada Day. Sean Rumball, 41, of Centralia, crashed a motorcycle into an Elgin Street house and was killed two days later.

Sunday night’s crash comes just over three weeks after Jake Timmerman, 17, was killed driving a motorcycle in the early hours of July 17.
