Middlesex County OPP are asking the public for help in identifying the woman killed after being hit by a car northwest of London Tuesday.

Police describe the woman as Caucasian, 50-60 years old, five-foot-one, 95 pounds, with grey and blonde hair riding a dark blue and black Norco Bush Pilot bicycle with an equipped water bottle holder. Police canvassed the area in an attempt to identified the woman, but were unable to do so.

She wasn’t carrying identification when she was struck.

“We encourage anyone out on their own cycling, walking or driving to carry with them forms of photo ID not only for issues where the police need to be involved but in case they need medical care and also a cell phone if they do find themselves needing medical attention in a remote area they are able to call for help, otherwise their safety might be at risk,” Max Gomez of the Middlesex County OPP said.

She was riding south on Bear Creek Road near Sinclair Drive when she was struck by a car going in the same direction at around 5 p.m.

A 20-year-old was driving the car that hit the woman. He was uninjured. Police are still investigating what caused the crash.
