Minor injuries were suffered by people involved in a truck crash today on the westbound Highway 402 near Christina Street in Sarnia.
At approximately 8:30 a.m. the collision that started with one truck rear-ending several other several transport trucks resulted in the closure of the highway’s westbound lanes. Traffic was being diverted off the highway.
The OPP has advised anyone heading to the American border to choose an alternate route.
One truck’s trailer went onto its side. That truck’s cab was heavily damaged. The two people in the cab suffered minor injuries.
None of the trucks were carrying hazardous goods but diesel fuel and other automotive fluids were on the road.
A trucker died during a similar crash on the same area of the highway July 19.
