Two car crash near Western University sends two pedestrians to hospital

London police are investigating a crash near Western University that sent two pedestrians to hospital Saturday evening.

Officers were called to the scene of a two vehicle crash at Western Road and Sarnia Road around 8:30 p.m.

Police say the crash happened in the intersection when one of the cars jumped the curb and struck two pedestrians.

Both were sent to hospital in serious condition. No word on the condition of either driver.

London police asked the public to avoid the intersection of Western Road and Sarnia Road as they investigated. The intersection was reopened to traffic by 10:20 p.m.

Several Western University student residences are located in the area, on the southwest corner of campus.
