Victoria Station has been evacuated due to a “person on the tracks”.
No trains are stopping at the station and there is no indication of when the station may reopen.
Confused rail passengers reported being evacuated from the busy hub station amid an “emergency” just after 4pm.
The closure was expected to cause major travel disruption on Saturday afternoon, with no service on the Victoria line between Brixton and Warren Street.
No service: Brixton to Warren Street. Severe delays: rest of the line, due to a person on the track.

Meanwhile a photograph posted on social media showed an air ambulance landing nearby.
Just got evacuated from #Victoria station due to an emergency. Walked to Pimlico and that’s closed too. Anyone know what’s going on?

A Transport for London spokesman confirmed that the station had been closed due to a person on the tracks.
