A woman tweeted her disgust when she settled down on a plane only for two bare feet to emerge on the armrests of the seat next to her.
Jessie Char, from San Francisco, initially thought she had got the best seat on the flight when she saw her row was empty.
However it wasn’t long before two shoeless feet, decorated with nail polish, emerged from the gaps between the seats to her left.
Tweeting a photo of the empty row, she initially wrote: “My two favourite people to sit with on a plane.”

She then asked her 12,000 followers: “You will never guess what happened next?” before posting the photograph of the two feet.
“Today”, she announced, “I flew on the set of a nightmare.”

The tweet has got over 4,000 retweets and 20,000 likes, and been commented on over 1,000 times.
And the shameless behaviour didn’t stop there, with Ms Char tweeting her followers again: “You guys will never guess what happened after that?”
The left foot reached over and opened a window.

Another Twitter user offered some helpful advice.
Eww… Next time, dip your fingers in a cup of liquid, and flick towards the feet with a perfectly synchronised fake sneeze.
