A young woman was left permanently scarred after being bitten on the face outside a nightclub in south-west London.

The 18-year-old was put in a headlock by a man she did not know before he bit her face outside Pryzm Nightclub in Kingston.

She required medical treatment and was left with permanent scaring on her face after the attack at about 3.30am on Sunday, June 25.

No arrests have been made and the assault is being treated as grievous bodily harm, Scotland Yard has said.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and anyone who has any information on the incident.

The suspect has been described by police as a blond-haired white man.

Detective Constable Robert Wise, the investigating officer from Kingston CID, said: “This was a savage attack that has left a young girl with a permanent scar. We urgently want to find the person responsible.

“There would have been many people who witnessed this horrible assault and I would appeal to anyone with information to contact police.”
